- Cross checking the bill for appropriateness of billing.
- Dispensing of drugs for Inpatients as per bill.
- Double checking the drugs dispensed by other pharmacist for right drug, strength, batch number, expiry date & right patient.
- To ensure that drugs are dispensed within time limits as per hospital policy.
- Receiving of unused drugs from the wards/critical care areas.
- Raising drugs requisition order with the help of Data Entry Operator to Pharmacy Stores on daily basis.
- Receiving Indented drugs from Pharmacy Store.
- To handle the queries of Doctors and Nurses regarding drug.
- In case of non-availability of drugs, inform the same to Incharge-Stores for further arrangement and update the same on NIL stock Register.




- Ensuring that proper storage conditions are maintained for all the drugs.
- Doing physical verification of stock weekly.
- Removing the short-expiry drugs once a month and non-moving drugs once in 3 months.
- Ensuring the stock ledger gets updated online.
