About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Review prescriptions and dispense medications accurately in accordance with applicable requirements and hospital policies.
- Verify medication names, dosage, route, frequency and other prescription details before dispensing.
- Provide appropriate information regarding the safe and proper use of medications.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy and medication records.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels of medicines and pharmacy supplies.
- Check medicine expiry dates and ensure proper storage conditions.
- Follow appropriate procedures for storage and handling of medications.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals regarding medication requirements.
- Support safe and effective medication management within the hospital.
- Maintain proper documentation of pharmacy transactions and inventory.
- Follow hospital pharmacy policies,
medication-safety procedures and applicable professional standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and medical information.
- Participate in pharmacy stock audits and inventory management as required.
- Report medication-related discrepancies or concerns through appropriate hospital procedures.
- Maintain professional and ethical standards of pharmacy practice.
Exact responsibilities will depend on whether the vacancy is for a Hospital Pharmacist, Clinical Pharmacist, Inpatient Pharmacist, Outpatient Pharmacist or other pharmacy-related position.
Candidate Requirements
- D.Pharm / B.Pharm / Pharm.D / M.Pharm or other relevant recognised pharmacy qualification, depending on the position.
- Appropriate Pharmacy Council registration/eligibility as applicable to the vacancy.
- Freshers and experienced pharmacists may apply, depending on hospital requirements.
- Valuable knowledge of medicines and pharmacy practices relevant to the position.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
