Company Description-
ICSBit Labs is a cybersecurity company specializing in Industrial Automation & Control Systems (IACS) security. The company delivers comprehensive IACS security across all phases of the system lifecycle, aligned with IEC 62443 standards. Its work spans Industrial Control Systems (ICS) security, OT cybersecurity, and SCADA security, offering holistic cybersecurity solutions for industrial automation and critical infrastructure protection.
About the Role -
We're looking for a Hardware Design Engineer to own schematic design, PCB layout, and board bring-up for a compact embedded platform. The board integrates an SoC and companion microcontroller along with a wide range of communication and debug interfaces, and you'll take it end-to-end — from component selection and schematic capture through PCB layout, fabrication oversight, and bring-up validation of assembled boards.
What You'll Do -
● Design the full circuit around an SoC (Allwinner H3) and companion module (ESP32-WROOM), integrating an Ethernet PHY, SPI flash, RS-232/RS-485 transceivers, a PMIC, an OLED display, USB host/OTG, and a full debug interface set (JTAG, SWD, UART, SPI test points)
● Lay out a compact PCB in KiCad with clearly zoned functional regions, respecting RF keep-out zones and marking debug surfaces clearly for easy access
● Coordinate fabrication and assembly runs, and verify populated boards against design intent
● Own hardware bring-up: validating power rails, boot sequences, peripheral initialization,
signal integrity, and interface accessibility across every subsystem on the board
● Work closely with the firmware team to ensure every hardware interface is accessible and functional ahead of firmware integration.
What We're Looking For -
● 3–5 years of experience in embedded hardware design — schematic capture, PCB layout, and hardware bring-up
● Complete, hands-on working knowledge of JTAG, SWD, UART, SPI, RS-232/RS-485, Ethernet, WiFi, BLE, and USB — circuit design, wiring, and debugging across all of these interfaces
● Working experience with KiCad for schematic capture and PCB layout (or willingness to be fully up to speed on it soon)
● Solid experience working with MCUs and microprocessors, particularly NXP or TI parts
● Solid grounding in mixed-signal board design: power management ICs, serial interfaces, RS-232/RS-485, and Ethernet PHYs
● Practical experience validating boards on the bench — multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, JTAG/SWD debug probes
● Experience working with fabrication houses (Gerbers, BOM, assembly files)
Nice to Have
● Experience with SoC/SoM-based designs (Allwinner, ESP32, NXP, TI, or similar)
● Experience designing for compact, enclosure-constrained form factors
How to Apply -
