India Nippon Electricals is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packaging Specialist to join our energetic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, designing, and implementing packaging solutions that meet product requirements, maintain quality standards, and ensure compliance with regulations.

The Packaging

Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and marketing, to ensure that packaging designs align with our brand and product strategy.

Roles and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, validate, and standardize packaging solutions for suppliers, WIP, and customers considering product dimensions, weight, fragility, logistics, handling, storage, and transportation requirements.
- Prepare packaging drawings, specifications, SOPs/work instructions, engineering change records, and ensure compliance with customer, quality, regulatory, and internal standards.
- Conduct packaging trials, testing, and validation as per ISTA/ASTM standards; establish acceptance criteria and support smooth handover to QA and Operations.
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, R&D;, Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, Marketing,



and Logistics teams for packaging approvals, new developments, and implementation.
- Drive packaging cost optimization, freight and storage efficiency, material standardization, loss reduction, returnable packaging management, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
- Develop and qualify new packaging materials, formats, technologies, and innovative concepts while staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Technical Skills

- Proficiency in TOPS, CAPE, ArtiosCAD, SolidWorks, or similar packaging design tools.
- Knowledge of packaging materials, printing processes, packaging machinery, logistics, supply chain, and returnable packaging systems.
- Strong understanding of packaging testing standards (ISTA, ASTM), sustainability, and regulatory compliance.

Packaging Expertise

- Experience with Carton/Gunny Boxes, Metal Pallets, Reusable PP Boxes, Volvo (Collapsible) Boxes, Plastic Crates, VCI/Poly Bags, Carton + Skid, Wooden/Plywood Boxes, Bulk Packaging, Palletization, and Labelling/Barcoding solutions.
