Core/Must Have Skills

- Analyze and develop solutions to client needs as a DB Developer within a team following the Agile development approach.

- Must have hands-on experience writing and optimizing complex queries, Performance Tuning, and other performance enhancement strategies.

- Must have hands-on experience developing Packages, Functions, Procedures etc.

- Must have hands-on experience implementing Triggers, Sequences, Synonyms, and Constraints.

- Must have hands-on production experience on Oracle 12c or later versions.

- Must have hands-on experience with external file processing using UTL_FILE, SQL*Loader, Database Directories etc.

- Represent the team on all major technical upgrades and large technical efforts.

- Manage efforts within the Agile team and outside Agile to ensure tasks are completed successfully by deadlines.

- Knowledge of database cloning, refreshes, and setting provisioning for Dev/Test/Prod pipelines.

- Should have understanding of database administration tasks including user management, role/privilege assignments, and schema management.





- Monitor database health including tablespace utilization, undo/redo logs, archive logs, and alert log review.

- Plan and coordinate database backup and recovery strategies using RMAN or equivalent tools.

- Monitor locking, blocking, and deadlock issues; perform wait event analysis and AWR/ADDM report interpretation.

- Should have understanding of maintaining high availability solutions such as Oracle Data Guard, RAC, or equivalent failover mechanisms.

Good to Have Skills

- Good understanding of design patterns and architecture.

- Expertise with Unix and shell scripting.

- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to be open to discussion of potential options.

- Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) or similar monitoring tools for proactive database health management.

- Exposure to cloud-based database services (AWS RDS/Aurora, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) is a plus.
