Optometrist

Malar Hospital, Hosur is looking for a skilled and patient-focused Optometrist to join our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments.
- Perform visual acuity, refraction and other routine optometric tests.
- Identify refractive errors and common vision-related conditions.
- Assist patients with appropriate vision correction and eyewear recommendations.
- Perform preliminary eye screening and identify cases requiring specialist consultation.
- Maintain accurate patient records and examination reports.
- Explain examination findings and procedures clearly to patients.
- Coordinate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals when required.
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of optometry equipment.
- Follow hospital protocols, patient safety standards and professional practices.
- Provide a professional and patient-friendly experience.

Qualifications
- B.Optom / Bachelor of Optometry or equivalent qualification.




- Valid registration with the relevant professional authority, where applicable.
- Freshers and experienced candidates may apply.

Skills Required
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong clinical observation and patient-handling skills.
- Ability to perform refraction and routine optometric assessments.
- Good documentation skills.
- Professional and patient-friendly approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a hospital team.
