Position: Operation Theatre (OT) Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and skilled OT Technician with strong hands-on experience in Gynaecology OT, General OT procedures, and ward coordination. The candidate should be capable of independently handling day-to-day OT activities and supporting doctors, surgeons, anaesthesia team, and nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain the Operation Theatre before, during, and after procedures.

Assist doctors, surgeons, anaesthetists, and nursing staff during surgeries.

Must have good hands-on experience in Gynaecology OT and Gynaecological procedures.

Handle General Surgery and other routine OT procedures.

Arrange and maintain surgical instruments, OT equipment, consumables, and emergency items.

Maintain strict aseptic techniques, sterilization, infection-control and OT safety protocols.

Assist in patient preparation, positioning, shifting and transfer between ward, OT and recovery area.

Ensure proper functioning and availability of OT equipment such as suction, cautery, OT table, lights, monitors, etc.

Maintain instrument, sterilization, OT registers, checklists and other required documentation.





Coordinate effectively with Ward, Nursing, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Doctors and other departments.

Maintain OT inventory and inform seniors about shortages of instruments and consumables.

Support emergency OT procedures whenever required.

Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection and readiness of OT for the next procedure.

Follow biomedical waste management and hospital safety protocols.

Perform other clinical/OT-related duties assigned by the management.

Eligibility & Experience

Qualification: Diploma / B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) preferred.

Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of relevant hospital experience preferred.

Strong experience in Gynaecology OT is mandatory/preferred.

Experience handling OT + Ward coordination in a multi-speciality hospital will be an advantage.

Good knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization, infection control and OT procedures.

Ability to work in rotational shifts and emergency situations.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
