Opportunity for Nursing Head for Deoghar location in Jharkhand for Baba Baidyanath Medical Trust managed by P. D. Hinduja Hospital & MRC.

The hospital is proposed to be a 650-bed multispecialty healthcare institute with a medical college attached.

Location : Deoghar in Jharkhand

Experience : Minimum 10+ years (of which 3-5 years on a senior nursing position is preferred)

Qualification: M.sc Nursing

Broad Function:

To establish a nursing department across multidisciplinary clinical categories from scratch, along with a robust nursing administration and continuing education framework.

Principal Responsibilities:

Ensure delivery of nursing care in conformance with standards of medical and service excellence with respect to patient & family care.

Ensure that patient privacy and confidentiality is duly protected at all times.

Take immediate action to resolve any issues/ complaint/ distress expressed in any way by the patient or family within his/her limits and escalate to the higher level.

Treat patients with courtesy, respect and empathy.

Ensure that the unit runs efficiently and as per the standards and regulations.

Assist the Assist. Nurse Manager/Nurse Manager in developing relevant patient education materials based on the identified needs.

Actively participate in Infection Control and prevention activities.

Actively participate in all quality assurance and data collection activities to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Participate in interdepartmental meetings and committees.

Maintain effective interdepartmental collaboration and communication.





Participate as per the defined role during any internal/external disaster.

Fulfil any other responsibility assigned by the Senior Manager - Nursing/HOD Nursing.

Has a valuable interpersonal and communication skill.

Attend to anxious families and queries of patients, with patience and empathy.

Has an organizational skill to plan schedules and manage inventory.

Skills

Ensure that the nursing care is focused on the assessment, diagnosis, planning, treatment and evaluation with emphasis on organizational protocols.

Maintain accurate and appropriate documents of assigned patient according to departmental and hospitals standard of practice.

Coordinate transfer-in / out and discharge process in adherence to stipulated timelines and SOP.

Coordinate with support services/ functions as per service level agreements.

Manage admissions and discharges within a particular department.

Plan the departmental duty roster.

Supervise and guide nursing officers in their work.

Train the Nursing officers in the department with clinical skills and knowledge as per the latest guidelines prevalent in the organization.

Encourage a culture that promotes staff productivity.

Monitor patients, administering medication and reporting patients condition to doctors.

Maintain and monitor patient records as per hospital requirements.

Maintain inventories of medical and pharmacy supplies.

Record performance of concerned nurses (Anecdotal records).
