MUSIC TEACHER

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Indian Classical Music Teacher with a Sangeet Visharad qualification and at least 2 years of teaching experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for nurturing students’ musical abilities, building a strong foundation in Indian classical music, and encouraging appreciation for traditional art forms.

- Teach Indian Classical Music (Vocal and/or Instrumental)



to students across assigned grade levels
- Develop structured lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum
- Train students in ragas, talas, voice culture, and classical compositions
- Prepare students for performances, competitions, and examinations
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Organize and participate in school cultural events and music programs
- Maintain discipline and create an engaging learning environment
- Collaborate with other teachers and school staff when required

Job Requirements -

- Sangeet Visharad certification (mandatory)
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Indian Classical Music
- Strong knowledge of classical techniques, theory, and performance
- Ability to teach students of varying age groups and skill levels
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for teaching and preserving Indian classical traditions

Basic proficiency in harmonium or tanpura (preferred)

Ability to commute/relocate

- Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
