MUSIC TEACHER

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Indian Classical Music Teacher with a Sangeet Visharad qualification and at least 2 years of teaching experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for nurturing students’ musical abilities, building a strong foundation in Indian classical music, and encouraging appreciation for traditional art forms.

1. Teach Indian Classical Music (Vocal and/or Instrumental)



to students across assigned grade levels
2. Develop structured lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum
3. Train students in ragas, talas, voice culture, and classical compositions
4. Prepare students for performances, competitions, and examinations
5. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
6. Organize and participate in school cultural events and music programs
7. Maintain discipline and create an engaging learning environment
8. Collaborate with other teachers and school staff when required

Job Requirements -

1. Sangeet Visharad certification (mandatory)
2. Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Indian Classical Music
3. Robust knowledge of classical techniques, theory, and performance
4. Ability to teach students of varying age groups and skill levels
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills
6. Passion for teaching and preserving Indian classical traditions

Basic proficiency in harmonium or tanpura (preferred)

Ability to commute/relocate

- Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
