Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to manage quantity take-offs, cost estimation, tendering, subcontractor billing, cost control, and commercial activities for MEP construction projects. The candidate should have strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) works and experience in handling project commercial requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs for MEP works based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Review MEP drawings, specifications, and scope of work to identify quantities and commercial requirements.
- Prepare cost estimates, rate analysis, and budgets for MEP works.
- Prepare and evaluate tender documents and subcontractor quotations.
- Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of quotations.
- Monitor project quantities, costs, variations, and material consumption.
- Prepare and verify subcontractor/client interim payment applications and bills.
- Measure completed MEP works at site and certify quantities.
- Prepare variation orders, claims, and additional-work statements.
- Maintain proper records of approved quantities, rates, measurements, and commercial correspondence.
- Assist in contract administration and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement, Planning, Finance, and Site teams.




- Monitor project expenditure against the approved budget and highlight cost overruns.
- Prepare monthly commercial reports, cost reports, and forecasts.
- Support final account preparation and project close-out.
- Ensure all commercial activities comply with contractual requirements and company procedures.

Required Qualifications

- Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in MEP construction quantity surveying/commercial activities.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction practices.
- Good understanding of BOQ, quantity take-off, rate analysis, estimation, billing, variations, and claims.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of QS/commercial software will be an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and specifications.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
- Willingness to work at project sites as required.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in commercial buildings, infrastructure, hospitality, industrial, or large-scale MEP projects.
- Knowledge of contract conditions and subcontract management.
- Experience in handling multiple MEP packages.
- Strong attention to detail and cost-conscious approach.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
