Roles & Responsibilities Assistant Medicine Specialist

Experience: 0-2 Years

- Assist the Medicine Specialist/Consultant in evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patients with medical conditions.
- Conduct patient history taking, physical examinations, and initial clinical assessments.
- Assist in developing and implementing appropriate treatment plans under senior physician supervision.
- Monitor patients vital signs, clinical condition, and response to treatment.
- Review and interpret routine laboratory and diagnostic reports and escalate abnormal findings to the senior physician.
- Assist in managing patients with acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Participate in ward rounds, outpatient consultations, and inpatient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient medical records, case sheets, and clinical documentation.
- Coordinate with nursing staff, laboratory personnel, and other departments for smooth patient care.
- Assist during emergency situations and provide appropriate initial medical management within scope of practice.
- Follow hospital clinical protocols, infection-control procedures, and patient-safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their attendants regarding treatment, investigations,



and follow-up as directed by the consultant.
- Ensure proper handover of patient information during shift changes.
- Participate in continuing medical education, clinical meetings, and case discussions.

Preferred profile: MBBS with 0-2 years of relevant clinical experience; MD/DNB in General Medicine may be preferred depending on the position.

- Candidates with a valid medical registration and required credentials will be preferred.
