Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced LSP Apparel Merchant to manage the end-to-end merchandising process for apparel products, from product development and sourcing to production follow-up and timely delivery. The role will require strong coordination with suppliers, designers, buyers, quality teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure products meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the complete merchandising lifecycle for apparel products.

- Coordinate with buyers, designers, sourcing teams, and vendors for product development.

- Understand product specifications, tech packs, measurements, fabrics, trims, and construction details.

- Identify and develop suitable vendors based on product, quality, cost, and capacity requirements.

- Source fabrics, trims, accessories, and other materials as required.

- Negotiate pricing, lead times, MOQ, and commercial terms with suppliers.

- Prepare and follow up on samples, approvals, fit samples, and pre-production samples.

- Maintain T&A; (Time & Action) calendars and ensure timely execution of orders.

- Coordinate with production and vendors to track production progress and delivery schedules.

- Work closely with the quality team to ensure products meet defined standards.





- Resolve production, quality, sampling, and delivery-related issues.

- Monitor order costing and margins and identify opportunities for cost optimization.

- Maintain accurate records of orders, samples, approvals, and vendor performance.

- Ensure timely shipment and delivery as per business requirements.

- Track market and fashion trends to support new product development.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of apparel merchandising and product development.

- Good understanding of fabrics, garments, trims, and garment construction.

- Robust vendor management and negotiation skills.

- Good understanding of costing, production planning, and quality standards.

- Strong follow-up and coordination skills.

- Ability to manage multiple styles/orders simultaneously.

- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Proficiency in MS Excel and merchandising/ERP systems.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Apparel, Textile, Merchandising, or a related field.

- Relevant merchandising experience in apparel manufacturing/export/retail will be preferred.
