Job Purpose To operate and monitor CNC Laser Cutting Machines for accurate cutting of sheet metal components as per production drawings, quality standards, and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate CNC Laser Cutting Machines efficiently and safely.

- Load and unload metal sheets/materials on the machine.

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and cutting programs.

- Set machine parameters such as cutting speed, gas pressure, and focus settings as per material specifications.

- Perform machine setup and job changeovers.

- Monitor cutting quality and dimensions during production.

- Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring instruments.

- Segregate and identify finished, rejected, and rework materials.

- Minimize material wastage and optimize sheet utilization.

- Maintain production records, machine logs, and daily output reports.

- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.

- Report machine breakdowns, tool wear, or quality issues to the maintenance team.

- Follow 5S, safety, and quality standards at all times.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives in the production area.
