Position: Labour Ward Nurse / Assistant

Department: Obstetrics & Gynecology

Salary: Attractive salary

Location: Malar Hospital, Hosur

Reports To: Labour Ward In-Charge

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and assess the condition of mothers during labor and delivery.
- Assist obstetricians/gynecologists during normal and emergency deliveries.
- Administer medications and IV fluids as per doctor’s advice.
- Maintain accurate documentation of labor progress, vitals, and delivery details.
- Prepare delivery rooms and sterilize equipment.
- Provide postpartum care and newborn care immediately after birth.
- Offer emotional and physical support to patients and families.
- Report any complications or abnormal signs to the physician immediately.
- Follow all hospital infection control and safety protocols.




- Coordinate with NICU or pediatric teams for baby care when needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

- GNM/B.Sc. Nursing (Registered with Nursing Council)
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Labour/OBG ward (Freshers may also apply)
- Compassionate, calm, and able to handle stress in emergency situations
- Robust communication and patient care skills
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, including night duties
