About the Role

We are looking for a hardworking, responsible, and hygiene-conscious Kitchen Steward to support the smooth functioning of the kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, washing and sanitizing utensils, crockery, cutlery, cookware, and kitchen equipment, and assisting with general kitchen upkeep.

The ideal candidate should be physically fit, punctual, disciplined, and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Attention to cleanliness, hygiene, and proper handling of kitchen items is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Wash, clean, and sanitize plates, glasses, cutlery, utensils, cookware, and other kitchen equipment.

Ensure all cleaned items are properly dried and stored in their designated areas.

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen sinks, washing areas, floors, work surfaces, and other assigned areas.

Assist the kitchen team in maintaining a clean and organized working environment.

Collect and clear used dishes, utensils, and kitchen items from designated areas.

Ensure a continuous supply of clean utensils and equipment during service hours.

Handle crockery, glassware, cutlery, and kitchen equipment carefully to minimize breakage and damage.

Dispose of food waste and other waste materials properly according to company procedures.

Maintain proper hygiene and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen.

Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and work areas as instructed.

Assist with cleaning and organizing storage areas and kitchen shelves.

Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are used properly and stored safely.

Report damaged utensils, equipment, plumbing issues, or other kitchen maintenance concerns to the supervisor.

Assist the kitchen team with basic support tasks such as receiving, sorting, or organizing supplies when required.





Support the kitchen team during busy service hours to ensure smooth operations.

Assist with opening and closing kitchen cleaning procedures.

Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines.

Maintain personal hygiene and proper grooming standards.

Work closely with chefs, kitchen staff, and supervisors.

Perform other kitchen-support and housekeeping duties assigned by management.

Requirements

Minimum 8th/10th pass preferred.

Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward, Dishwasher, Kitchen Helper, Housekeeping Associate, or similar role is preferred.

Freshers may also apply.

Physically fit and comfortable performing cleaning and kitchen-support duties.

Positive understanding of basic hygiene and cleanliness practices.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsible, punctual, disciplined, and hardworking.

Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.

Good teamwork and coordination skills.

Careful and responsible while handling crockery, glassware, utensils, and equipment.

Ability to stand and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

Willingness to work flexible schedule, weekends, and during busy periods or special events as required.
