Company Description Superfan.ng (SPNG) is an edtech learning platform focused on African languages and culture, built for Africans and the diaspora. The product is a gamified, quiz-first app that explores African proverbs, traditions, rites of passage, festivals, folklore, and customs. SPNG aims to make learning engaging, interactive, and culturally immersive through play and storytelling.

Role Description As a Junior UX Designer at Superfan.ng, you will support the design of intuitive, engaging experiences across our mobile and web products in a full-time, remote capacity. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and content teams to translate requirements into user flows, wireframes, and low- to mid-fidelity prototypes. Your day-to-day activities will include assisting with user research, synthesizing findings into actionable insights, and iterating on designs based on feedback and usability testing.

You will help refine interaction patterns, visual consistency, and accessibility, ensuring that the app remains easy to use for learners with diverse backgrounds and levels of digital literacy.



You will also contribute to design documentation and help maintain a growing design system.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in User Experience (UX) and Design Thinking, with the ability to approach problems from a user-centered perspective.
- Experience with User Research methods such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing, and the ability to translate findings into design improvements.
- Skills in Visual Design and Prototyping, including creating wireframes and interactive mockups using common design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Basic understanding of interaction design principles and accessibility best practices for mobile and web products.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Design, HCI, UX, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and collaborate in cross-functional teams.
- Explicit written and verbal communication skills, with openness to feedback and a growth mindset.
- Interest in African languages, culture, or edtech products is a strong plus.
