Role & responsibilities :

- Review architectural, structural, and engineering drawings to understand project requirements.

- Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection drawings for steel joists and joist girders.

- Develop accurate layouts, member details, dimensions, connections, and related detailing information.

- Read and interpret structural plans, sections, details, specifications, and design documents.

- Assist senior detailers and project managers in developing joist drawings.

- Identify discrepancies, missing information, and coordination issues and communicate them to the concerned team.

- Incorporate revisions and design changes accurately and within project schedules.

- Follow applicable industry standards, project specifications, and client detailing requirements.

- Perform self-checks to ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and fabrication-ready.

- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other detailing teams to resolve technical issues.





- Continuously improve knowledge of structural steel detailing, joist construction, and industry standards.

Preferred candidate profile

- Diploma / ITI / Associate Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Drafting is preferred.

- 38 years of experience in structural steel detailing or drafting.

- Basic knowledge of structural steel construction and fabrication.

- Ability to read and understand structural and architectural drawings.

- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structures, SDS/2, or similar detailing software is an advantage.

- Basic understanding of steel members, connections, welding symbols, dimensions, and shop drawings.

- Knowledge of Steel Joist Institute (SJI) standards is an advantage.

- Positive attention to detail and accuracy.

- Strong learning ability and willingness to work under the guidance of senior detailers.

- Good communication and coordination skills.
