Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager with strong knowledge of payroll processing, statutory compliances, labour laws, HR operations, and employee lifecycle management.
The candidate should be capable of independently managing monthly payroll, statutory deductions and filings, employee records, HR policies, attendance and leave management, compliance documentation, and coordination with Finance, consultants, auditors, and government authorities.
The role requires a person who is hands-on, detail-oriented, process-driven, and capable of ensuring error-free payroll and timely statutory compliance.
Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll Management
- Independently manage monthly payroll processing for employees.
- Verify attendance, leaves, incentives, bonuses, deductions, reimbursements, arrears, and other payroll inputs.
- Ensure accurate calculation of salary, overtime, incentives, full & final settlements, and statutory deductions.
- Manage employee salary structures including CTC, Gross Salary, Basic, HRA, allowances, employer contributions, and deductions.
- Prepare payroll reports, salary sheets, bank transfer files, and salary slips.
- Reconcile monthly payroll with employee records and coordinate with the Finance/Accounts team.
Statutory & Labour Law Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance relating to:
- EPF / PF
- ESI
- Payment of Gratuity
- Payment of Bonus
- Minimum Wages
- Leave and Holiday regulations
- Maternity Benefit provisions
- POSH compliance
- Other applicable labour and employment laws.
- Ensure timely deposit of statutory contributions and filing of applicable returns.
- Maintain all statutory registers, records, challans, returns, and employee documentation.
- Monitor changes in labour laws and ensure implementation of necessary changes in company policies and payroll.
- Coordinate with labour consultants, auditors, PF/ESI authorities, and other statutory bodies whenever required.
- Support statutory, internal,
and payroll audits and ensure proper closure of observations.
HR Operations
- Manage the complete employee lifecycle from joining to separation.
- Prepare and maintain:
- Offer Letters
- Appointment Letters
- Confirmation Letters
- Increment / Promotion Letters
- Transfer Letters
- Warning / Disciplinary Letters
- Experience and Relieving Letters
- Manage employee onboarding, documentation, background verification, confirmation, transfers, and exits.
- Maintain complete and updated employee personnel files and HR database.
- Handle attendance, leave records, biometric data, and employee master records.
- Manage Full & Final Settlement (F&F;) and exit formalities.
- Ensure proper recovery of company assets and clearance at the time of separation.
HR Policies & Employee Relations
- Draft, implement, and regularly update HR policies and SOPs.
- Ensure employees understand and comply with company policies.
- Handle employee grievances and disciplinary matters in a professional and confidential manner.
- Support management in performance management, increments, promotions, and manpower planning.
- Drive employee engagement and maintain a positive work environment.
- Assist management in resolving employee-related issues while balancing employee welfare and organizational requirements.
Recruitment & Manpower Management
- Coordinate manpower requirements with department heads.
- Manage recruitment for junior, middle, and managerial positions as required.
- Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, negotiate compensation, and manage joining formalities.
- Maintain recruitment MIS and monitor open positions and hiring timelines.
HR MIS & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain periodic HR MIS relating to:
- Headcount
- Payroll
- Attendance
- Leave
- Attrition
- Current Joiners
- Separations
- Recruitment
- Statutory compliance
- Employee cost
- Provide accurate HR data and reports to management for decision-making.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of employee and payroll information.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong practical knowledge of Indian payroll processing and statutory compliance.
- Sound understanding of PF, ESI, Gratuity, Bonus, Minimum Wages, Maternity Benefits, POSH, and applicable labour laws.
- Good knowledge of salary taxation and TDS on salary.
- Strong understanding of payroll reconciliation and employee cost calculations.
- Good knowledge of attendance, leave, F&F; settlement, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Ability to independently handle statutory filings, documentation, and compliance calendars.
- Strong command of MS Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF formulas, and payroll-related data analysis.
- Experience with HRMS / Payroll software will be preferred.
- Strong communication, drafting, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Finance, Management, Auditors, Consultants, and Government Authorities.
Educational Qualification
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources, MHRM, or equivalent qualification.
- Additional qualification or certification in Payroll, Labour Laws, or HR Compliance will be an advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be a hands-on HR professional rather than only a policy-level manager. The candidate must have personally handled payroll and statutory compliances and should be comfortable taking complete ownership of HR operations. Preference will be given to candidates who have independently managed:
Payroll + PF + ESI + Labour Compliance + TDS on Salary + Attendance & Leave + F&F; + Employee Documentation + HR MIS.

Pay: ₹15,662.43 - ₹54,652.61 per month
