Role Description The Production Operations Head (Unit Head) will lead end-to-end manufacturing operations for a pharmaceutical unit specializing in ointments, sprays, oral solid dosage (OSD), inhalers, and eye drops. This full-time, in office role based in Baddi involves planning and overseeing daily production activities, ensuring adherence to GMP, quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

The role includes optimizing production schedules, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement to meet output, cost, and quality targets.

The Unit

Head will provide leadership to cross-functional teams, coordinate with QA,



QC, maintenance, and supply chain, and ensure smooth plant operations. Additional responsibilities include monitoring performance metrics, managing budgets, supporting audits, and contributing to strategic decisions related to capacity expansion and process enhancement.

Qualifications

- Strong Operations Management skills, including production planning, process optimization, and compliance with pharmaceutical manufacturing standards.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for data-driven decision-making, performance tracking, and problem-solving in a complex manufacturing environment.
- Proven Team Management capabilities, with experience in leading and developing multidisciplinary production teams in a plant setting.
- Effective Communication skills for coordinating with internal stakeholders, external partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Experience with Budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation to maintain operational efficiency within financial targets.
- Hands-on experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, preferably in ointments, sprays, OSD, inhalers, or eye drops.
- Thorough understanding of GMP, regulatory requirements, safety standards, and audit processes in the pharma sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; advanced qualifications or management education are an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Baddi, with a focus on reliability, integrity, and long-term commitment to operational excellence.
