Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented General Manager (GM) - Sales with strong experience in the Solar Energy / Renewable Energy sector. The candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, developing new customers, managing key accounts, generating project opportunities, and achieving sales and revenue targets. The ideal candidate should have strong market knowledge and established industry connections in Solar EPC, Ground-Mounted Solar Projects, Government/PSU Projects and Commercial & Industrial (C&I;) Solar Projects, Energy Storage Products.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute the overall sales and business development strategy for the Solar Division.
- Identify and generate new business opportunities in Solar EPC, Rooftop Solar, Ground-Mounted Solar and C&I; Solar projects.
- Develop business with Government Departments, PSUs, Industries, Commercial Establishments, Institutional Customers, EPC Companies and Channel Partners.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales, order booking and revenue targets.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline and ensure timely conversion of leads into orders.
- Identify upcoming solar projects, tenders and large business opportunities.
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers, consultants, EPC contractors, developers and institutional customers.
- Lead commercial discussions, negotiations, proposal presentations and order finalization.
- Coordinate with the Tender, Engineering, Procurement, Project and Finance teams for successful execution of business opportunities.




- Review customer requirements and support preparation of techno-commercial proposals.
- Monitor competitor activities, market pricing, government policies and emerging opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
- Recruit, guide and manage the sales/business development team as required.
- Conduct regular sales reviews and provide forecasts, pipeline reports and business updates to management.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and coordinate with customers for commercial closures.
- Represent the company at industry exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings and business networking events.

Candidate Profile Education:

B.Tech/B.E./Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Renewable Energy preferred. MBA in Sales/Marketing will be an added advantage.

Experience:

- Minimum 10 years of overall sales/business development experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Solar / Renewable Energy Sales.
- Candidates with proven experience in handling MW-scale solar business/projects will be preferred.
- Experience in both Government/PSU and Private/C&I; Solar business will be an advantage.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of the Indian Solar and Renewable Energy market.
- Robust understanding of Solar PV Systems, Solar EPC, Rooftop Solar and Ground-Mounted Projects.
- Experience in institutional and B2B sales.
- Government/PSU tender and GeM business exposure preferred.
- Strong customer and industry network.
- Excellent negotiation and deal-closing skills.
- Strong leadership and team-management capabilities.
- Good commercial and financial understanding.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to independently develop and close large-value business opportunities.
- Willingness to travel extensively for customer meetings and business development.
