Role Summary:
The Leaves Associate is responsible for delivering expert People & Culture support and partnering with HRBPs and business stakeholders related to leave of absence, accommodation, and flexible work arrangement (FWA) programs for the firm's partners and employees. This role manages a variety of employee requests, including FMLA, parental leave, sick and family leave, disability leave, military leave, personal leave, workplace accommodations, and flexible work arrangements (collectively referred to as
"incidents"). The associate needs to support activities across US & multiple jurisdictions to assess eligibility, provide guidance on available options, and support individuals throughout the incident lifecycle. This role is responsible for administering cases and maintaining accurate case documentation, monitoring timelines and leave entitlements, ensuring timely receipt and review of required documentation, and escalating complex matters as appropriate.
Skills/Experience/Qualification:
- Masters degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in leave administration, accommodations, employee relations, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, disability programs, and other applicable federal, state,
and local leave and accommodation laws
- Strong prioritization skills with the ability to manage competing demands and support multiple stakeholders across different business areas
- Highly collaborative and action-oriented, with the ability to build relationships and influence within a matrixed organization
- Solid initiative and accountability, with a hands-on approach and willingness to take ownership
- Excellent customer service, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across global, cross-functional, and onshore/offshore teams
- Professionalism and results orientation, with a commitment to continuous learning and development
- Operational mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to solve problems and drive execution
- Experience in HR/ ERP tools/ systems (preferably Oracle), service management platforms, and related technologies for at least 1 year
- Demonstrated ability to interpret policies, resolve complex employee issues, and manage competing priorities
- Solid PC skills with proficiency in MS Office (Advanced Excel, Power BI, Macros).
- A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for enhancing processes, service delivery, and employee experience.
