BESPL is looking for a Fire Safety Engineer to support the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of fire protection systems at project sites.

The candidate will work closely with the engineering, drafting, procurement, and project execution teams to ensure that fire safety systems are installed according to approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable standards.

This position is suitable for candidates with experience in fire fighting system design, site supervision, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Fire Protection System Design

- Prepare and review fire fighting system layouts and engineering drawings.
- Support the design of fire hydrant, sprinkler, fire pump, and water-based fire protection systems.
- Assist with fire alarm and detection system layouts as per project requirements.
- Prepare pipe sizing calculations and hydraulic calculations where required.
- Coordinate with the AutoCAD drafting team for preparation and revision of project drawings.
- Review technical specifications and ensure that drawings meet project requirements.

2. Project Execution and Site Supervision

- Supervise the installation of fire fighting pipelines, pumps, valves, and related equipment.
- Monitor site activities to ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and project specifications.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and structural teams during project execution.
- Inspect materials and installation quality at project sites.
- Identify site issues and coordinate with the project team for suitable solutions.
- Assist with pressure testing, equipment testing,



and system commissioning.
- Prepare site progress updates and communicate project requirements to the concerned teams.

3. Tendering and Technical Support

- Review tender documents, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Assist in preparing technical BOQs and material requirement statements.
- Support the estimation and costing team with technical inputs.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for technical information and material specifications.
- Assist in preparing technical submissions and project documentation.
- Support AMC-related technical inspections and maintenance activities when required.

4. Documentation and Compliance

- Maintain project drawings, inspection records, testing reports, and technical documents.
- Coordinate with internal teams for preparation of project handover documents.
- Support compliance with applicable fire safety standards, project specifications, and statutory requirements.
- Assist in preparing technical documents required for project approvals and fire safety inspections.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and relevant authorities when assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

- B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Fire Safety Engineering,



Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Candidates with relevant fire protection engineering experience and suitable technical qualifications may also be considered.

Experience Required

- 3–5 years of experience in fire fighting system design, installation, or project execution.
- Experience in fire protection EPC, engineering contracting, or industrial projects is preferred.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in fire hydrant, sprinkler, fire pump, or fire alarm systems will be preferred.

Technical Skills

- Knowledge of fire fighting system layouts and installation procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings and engineering schematics.
- Understanding of fire protection equipment, pipelines, valves, and pump systems.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic calculations and pipe sizing.
- Familiarity with NBC of India, NFPA guidelines, and applicable fire safety requirements.
- Knowledge of BOQ preparation, material estimation, and technical documentation.
- Experience with hydraulic calculation software such as Elite or PipeNet will be an advantage.

Additional Requirements

- Willingness to travel to project sites in Howrah, Burdwan, Siliguri and other assigned locations.
- Comfortable working in an in office engineering and project execution environment.
- Ability to work according to project schedules and operational requirements.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
