EXPERIENCE (Years) 5–10 years of experience in plant production operations. Experience in copper tubing / HVAC / RAC Position Overview To ensure efficient and smooth operation of the copper tubing shop by managing production activities, achieving output targets, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

ROLE

- Production Planning & Execution
- Plan and execute daily production schedules in line with targets
- Ensure optimum utilization of machines, manpower, and materials
- Monitor line performance to meet production KPIs (output, efficiency, rejection)
- Ensure adherence to production timelines and dispatch commitments
- Copper Tubing Operations Management
- Oversee processes such as tube cutting, bending, expansion, and forming
- Ensure smooth functioning of copper processing equipment and tooling
- Monitor process parameters to maintain dimensional accuracy and quality standards
- Coordinate with maintenance for machine readiness and uptime
- Quality Control
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and SOPs
- Reduce defects through process control and corrective actions
- Support quality team in inspection, audits, and root cause analysis
- Maintain focus on first-pass yield and rejection reduction
- Continuous Improvement
- Drive Lean, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives on the shopfloor




- Identify and implement productivity and cost improvement ideas
- Support cycle time reduction and line balancing efforts
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and PPE usage
- Implement safe working practices in the shopfloor
- Participate in safety audits and risk mitigation initiatives
- Ensure compliance with statutory and company policies
- Team Management & Coordination
- Supervise operators and line staff in the copper tubing shop
- Ensure proper shift planning and manpower allocation
- Train operators on process, quality, and safety practices
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and stores teams
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain production records for output, downtime, and rejections
- Prepare and share daily/weekly/monthly production MIS reports
- Ensure accurate documentation for audits and compliance

Essential Attributes

- Strong understanding of production processes and line management
- Knowledge of copper tubing operations (cutting, bending, forming)
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, 5S, and KPIs
- Ability to drive productivity, quality, and efficiency improvements
