The English Language Faculty is responsible for delivering effective English language instruction, developing students’ communication and language skills, and supporting their academic and professional development. The faculty member will conduct engaging classroom sessions, assess student performance, and provide guidance to improve students’ proficiency in English.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct theory and practical classes in English Language and Communication Skills.

- Teach grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.

- Develop students’ spoken English and professional communication skills.

- Conduct interactive activities, group discussions, presentations, role plays, debates, and language exercises.

- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, assignments, and study resources.

- Assess students through tests, assignments, presentations, examinations, and other academic activities.

- Provide individual guidance and feedback to students to improve their language proficiency.

- Train students in interview skills, presentation skills, public speaking, and workplace communication.

- Support students in developing professional email writing, report writing, resume writing, and formal communication skills.

- Maintain attendance, academic records, assessment records, and other required documentation.





- Monitor student progress and provide appropriate academic support.

- Participate in seminars, workshops, faculty development programmes, academic meetings, and institutional activities.

- Coordinate with other faculty members for academic planning and student development activities.

- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and supportive classroom setting.

- Stay updated with modern English language teaching methodologies and educational practices.

Required Qualifications

- Master’s Degree in English / English Language / English Literature or an equivalent qualification.

- Bachelor’s Degree in English or a relevant discipline.

- B.Ed./NET/SET or equivalent qualification may be preferred depending on institutional requirements.

- Prior teaching experience is an added advantage.
