Role & responsibilities

Role purpose

Plan and execute engine test programmes that validate performance, fuel efficiency, emissions, durability and NVH against product-development targets.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare engine test plans, test procedures, acceptance criteria and test reports.
- Operate or coordinate engine dynamometer and testbed activities, including instrumentation and data acquisition.
- Conduct performance, combustion, emissions, fuel-consumption, durability and NVH tests.
- Analyse test data, identify deviations and support root-cause investigation with design and calibration teams.
- Maintain test traceability, safety compliance and test documentation.

Essential skills
- Hands-on engine testing or engine calibration experience.
- Engine testbed or dynamometer exposure and working knowledge of instrumentation.
- Test planning, data acquisition,



data analysis and technical reporting.
- Practical exposure to at least two of performance, emissions, combustion, durability or NVH testing.

Preferred experience
- Commercial vehicle or diesel-engine product-development experience.
- Exposure to AVL systems, combustion analysis tools, CAN or ECU data.
- Experience working with design, controls, calibration and validation teams.

Screening exclusions
- Profiles limited to vehicle service, production or quality inspection without engine test responsibility.
- Candidates without engine testbed, instrumentation or relevant validation evidence.

Candidates outside 3 to 6 years of total experience.
