The class teacher or home room teacher role will be responsible for the development and implementation of curriculum consistent with the philosophy, policy and practice prescribed by the School. They will be responsible for supporting each child to ensure they are can enjoy school life and are able to achieve success. The purpose of the role is to ensure seamless teaching and learning experience for the students through academic progress and through personal development.

● A degree plus teaching qualification (or equivalent)

● Higher degree or recognised professional qualification (preferred)

● Evidence of continued relevant professional development

● Teaching learners with diverse language and learning needs

● Using technology in learning The IGCSE or/and IBDP curriculum (as appropriate to age taught)

Teaching and Curriculum

· Setting priorities and targets for improving your teaching and learning practices.

· Evaluating the effectiveness of teaching and learning and seeking support and guidance where appropriate.

· Contributing to the sharing of good practice, peer observations and the cascading of best practices amongst the team.

· Planning differentiated lessons to meet the needs of all students.

· Monitoring the progress of groups of students and adapt your teaching and learning as appropriate.

· Planning and delivering lessons that motivate and engage students, ensuring no learning time is wasted and offer high levels of challenge for all

· Using teaching methods which stimulate students’ intellectual curiosity,



include clear presentation and excellent resources and incorporate effective questioning techniques.

· Using media and technology to enhance teaching and learning experience

· Setting homework in accordance with the lesson progress

· Creating stimulating displays, including marked student’s work, in designated areas.

· Recording, evaluating and reporting student’s development within prescribed timelines

· Contributing to the development of curriculum booklets for the phase

Pastoral Care

· Providing outstanding levels of pastoral care for form class

· Helping create a school setting where every pupil can thrive and flourish

· Dealing sensitively with the students experiencing personal, social or organisational problems

· Identifying individual learning needs and working with other staff to support the students as required

· Motivating students with enthusiastic, imaginative class activities

· Becoming the students’ champion – such that you are the first port of call for all students in your form

Communication

· Responding professionally to all parent queries within 48 hours

· Relaying all information to parents about the child’s progress through email communication





· Regularly assessing students’ work and providing high quality feedback

· Prepare and present informative reports to parents and other stakeholders as required

· Meeting with and support parents when appropriate and maintaining a record of these meetings

· Ensuring that proper performance feedback is furnished in the report cards

· Liaise between the students and coordinators for conducting events for students’ learning experience

· Celebrating student achievements

Administrative

· Coordinating with the relevant subject leaders to ensure that the curriculum is delivered to the SoW

· Participating in ongoing professional development and the process of professional review and acting on the areas for development identified

· Ensuring that the student’s attendance is managed appropriately and communication about shortfalls is promptly communicated

· Ensuring that students have access to all resources as required for an effective learning experience

· Ensuring new staff receive a positive induction process and help to familiarise them with the school’s systems and policies

· Attending and assisting in the planning of school events and functions (eg inter-house competitions, concerts, parent information sessions, prize days etc)

· Playing instrumental role in consistently implementing all school policies and procedures

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
