Job Title: Senior Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I;) Engineer

Location: Kharadi, Pune

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to lead the design and engineering of electrical and instrumentation systems for turnkey water and utility projects. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in E&I; design, engineering documentation, vendor coordination, and cross-functional collaboration.

Mandatory Skill

- 5-12 years of experience in Electrical & Instrumentation Design.
- Experience in Water Treatment, Utility, Process, or Industrial Projects preferred.
- Solid knowledge of LT/HT systems.
- Hands-on experience with MCC, PCC, and PLC panels.
- Knowledge of industrial instrumentation and field devices.
- Familiarity with PLC/SCADA systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or EPLAN.
- Knowledge of IEC standards and electrical safety design
- Project engineering and design coordination.
- Vendor evaluation and technical bid analysis.
- Exposure to international engineering standards.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Strong design-focused E&I; engineer.
- Ability to independently handle complete E&I; engineering scope.
- Excellent technical problem-solving and coordination skills.




- Proven track record of delivering engineering documentation within project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLD).
- Perform load calculations, cable sizing, and voltage drop calculations.
- Design MCC, PCC, and PLC panels.
- Develop LT/HT power distribution systems.
- Select and apply VFDs, soft starters, and motors.
- Select and specify field instruments including flow meters, level transmitters, pressure transmitters, and water quality analyzers.
- Prepare instrument index, I/O lists, datasheets, cable schedules, and hook-up drawings.
- Work with industrial communication protocols such as 4-20 mA and HART.
- Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, and Automation teams during project execution.
- Review vendor drawings and technical specifications.
- Ensure E&I; designs meet overall project requirements.
- Coordinate with PLC/SCADA teams on I/O mapping and control panel integration.
- Support automation design and signal philosophy activities.
- Ensure compliance with IEC standards and electrical safety regulations.
- Follow best engineering practices for safety, reliability, and maintainability.
- Lead and mentor engineers and site teams.
- Handle vendor interactions and technical discussions.
