Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to manage preventive and breakdown maintenance activities at a client site in Jharsuguda, Odisha.

The role requires strong hands-on experience in LT systems, motors, VFDs/drives, EOT cranes, and industrial lighting, with a focus on equipment reliability, availability, and protected maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance activities for electrical equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot LT panels, MCC/PCC, ACB, MCCB, contactors, relays, and control circuits.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of AC motors.
- Troubleshoot and maintain VFDs / AC drives and analyse drive-related faults.
- Maintain electrical systems of EOT / overhead cranes, including motors, brakes, panels, limit switches, and controls.
- Maintain industrial and plant lighting systems, including high-bay, floodlights, street lighting, and emergency lighting.
- Monitor equipment availability, downtime, PM compliance, and maintenance performance.
- Analyse recurring electrical failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.




- Support RCA and CAPA for critical equipment failures.
- Monitor SAP PM notifications, work orders, job loading, and closure.
- Support shutdown planning, execution, and post-shutdown activities.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, SMPs, PM checklists, and maintenance standards.
- Supervise technicians, electricians, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with PTW, LOTO, PPE, electrical safety, and statutory requirements.
- Prepare maintenance reports and track key maintenance KPIs.
- Participate in reliability improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.

Candidate Profile

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- 7 - 12 years of relevant experience in industrial / plant electrical maintenance.
- Experience in metal manufacturing, steel, aluminium, or process industries preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience in LT systems, motors, VFDs/drives, EOT cranes, and industrial lighting.
- Good knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, coordination, and team-handling skills.
- Knowledge of SAP PM and maintenance planning will be an added advantage.
- Willingness to work in a plant / shift-based environment.
