Electrical AutoCAD Designer Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu Employment Type: Full time Experience: 2–7 years Qualification: Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Electrical AutoCAD Designer to prepare detailed electrical engineering drawings and layouts for industrial, commercial, MEP, or infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities Prepare electrical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD 2D/3D.

Develop Single Line

Diagrams (SLD), schematic diagrams and electrical layouts. Prepare lighting, power, cable tray, conduit, earthing and equipment layouts. Prepare cable schedules, conduit schedules and termination schedules.

Develop panel layouts, GA drawings and wiring diagrams where required. Prepare BOQ/BOM and material take-offs from drawings. Modify drawings based on engineering inputs and site requirements. Work with XREFs, drawing standards, layers and templates.

Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and other engineering teams. Ensure drawings comply with applicable IEC/NEC standards and project specifications. Review drawings for accuracy,



dimensions, symbols and completeness.

Maintain drawing revisions and project documentation.

Required Skills Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD. Good understanding of electrical drafting and engineering drawings. Knowledge of LV/MV electrical systems.

Experience with SLDs, lighting, power distribution, cable trays and earthing. Knowledge of electrical symbols, standards and drafting practices. Ability to read electrical engineering documents and input drawings. Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills AutoCAD Electrical / AutoCAD 3D other electrical design software Knowledge of cable sizing and cable-raceway sizing Experience in industrial / Oil & Gas / Pharma / Chemical / MEP projects Experience 2–4 years: Electrical Drafter / Junior Electrical Designer 4–7 years: Electrical Designer / Senior Electrical Designer Salary Salary will be based on experience, technical skills and current market standards.
