Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Design Engineer role based in Bengaluru.

The Electrical Design

Engineer will develop and review electrical system designs for power plants, substations, switchyards, and related industrial projects, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and client specifications. Daily responsibilities include preparing single-line diagrams, layout drawings, cable schedules,



and equipment specifications; performing load calculations and power distribution studies; and supporting power system analysis under the guidance of senior consultants. The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, assisting in technical documentation and reports, and supporting site teams during installation, testing, and commissioning activities. The engineer will also participate in design optimization, value engineering, and continuous improvement of design practices.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Design and Design Engineering for power and industrial projects.
- Candidates should possess solid foundations in Electrical Engineering and understanding of Electricity principles and standards.
- Candidates should possess practical knowledge of Power Distribution, including load flow, protection coordination, and equipment selection.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in electrical design for power plants, substations, or industrial infrastructure.
- Familiarity with relevant national and international codes and standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, IS standards).
- Proficiency in design and drafting tools (such as AutoCAD or similar), and exposure to power system analysis software is an advantage.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and drawings.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
