- Define the EE architecture master plan:

- Selection of communication networks:
n
- Automotive Ethernet
n
- CAN FD
n
- LIN
n
- Centralisation of power:
n
- Transition from a conventional architecture to a zonal architecture
n
- Centralized architecture around supercomputers
n
nPower Architecture Management
n
n
- Manage power distribution, which is crucial in electric vehicles:
n
- High-voltage architecture (400V / 800V) for traction
n
- Low-voltage architecture (12V / 48V) for accessories and control units
n
n
- Draft the Architecture Specifications (AS), which will serve as the technical bible for the development teams.
n
- Break down and assign the vehicle’s functions to the appropriate components or control units
n
- Define the software and physical (inter-system) interfaces to ensure effective communication between the various control units.
n
nCybersecurity & Functional Safety
n
n
- Address cybersecurity from the early design stage.
n
- Ensure compliance with functional safety standards:
n
- ISO 26262
n
- ASIL
n
- ISO21434
n
nTechnology & Architecture Decisions
n
n
- Make technology choices at an early stage.
n
- Assess the cost-benefit ratio between a software update and the addition of a physical component (hardware).

- Perform architecture decision and trade-off analysis.

nPhysical Architecture & Optimization

- Work on the layout of electronic control units.
n
- Optimize cable harnesses for weight reduction.
n
- Support ECU layout and vehicle packaging optimization.

nOTA & Scalability
n

- Ensure scalability:

- Design a scalable EE architecture
n
- Support OTA (Over-The-Air) remote updates
n
- Enable lifecycle software updates throughout the vehicle lifecycle
