About the opportunity

nWe are hiring a Director – Accounting for a PE-backed, high-growth global technology company with operations across the US, EU and India. The role is based in Gurugram and reports directly into the Global CFO. This is a senior, hands-on finance leadership role for a technically strong accounting skilled who can own global financial reporting, drive multi-entity controllership, and operate effectively in a fast-scaling, M&A-active; environment.

nKey responsibilities

nFinancial reporting & controllership

n

- Own the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of consolidated financial statements prepared in accordance with US GAAP
n
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes across all entities and geographies
n
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, managing the annual audit cycle end-to-end
n
- Design, implement, and continuously improve internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
n

nSystems & process

n

n
- Own and optimise NetSuite as the core ERP — including chart of accounts design, workflow automation, and reporting configuration
n
- Lead rollout of new or restructured Chart of Accounts across entities as the business scales
n
- Document and standardise GAAP accounting policies, process runbooks, and controls matrix
n
- Establish and enforce a disciplined month-end close calendar across the finance team
n

nPE & investor reporting

n

- Partner closely with PE sponsors on reporting cadences,



board packages, covenant compliance, and portfolio-level financial reporting
n
- Support due diligence, quality-of-earnings processes, and investor reporting deliverables
n

nM&A; & integration

n

n
- Lead accounting workstreams for M&A; transactions — due diligence, purchase accounting, opening balance sheet preparation, and post-close integration
n

nGlobal operations

n

n
- Oversee accounting operations across multiple regions — US, EU, APAC, and India
n
- Navigate multi-currency consolidation, transfer pricing considerations, and cross-border reporting requirements
n
- Manage relationships with regional finance teams, local advisors, and statutory auditors across jurisdictions
n

nIdeal candidate

n

n
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA mandatory
n
- 12+ years of progressive accounting experience including significant time in a Controller, VP, or Director-level role
n
- Deep technical expertise in US GAAP — hands-on experience preparing and reviewing GAAP-compliant financial statements
n
- Proven experience with NetSuite — implementation, administration, and advanced use as primary ERP
n
- Prior experience in a PE-backed company with exposure to sponsor reporting, board-level reporting, and PE-driven reporting cadences
n
- Demonstrated M&A; experience — due diligence, purchase accounting, and post-acquisition integration
n
- Based in or open to relocating to Gurugram
