Job Title: Die Fitter / Tool & Die Fitter

Job Summary:

Responsible for fitting, assembling, maintaining, repairing, and modifying dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, and other tooling used in manufacturing processes. The role requires robust knowledge of engineering drawings, precision measuring instruments, machining, and fitting techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Assemble and fit dies, tools, molds, jigs, and fixtures.
- Perform bench fitting, grinding, filing, drilling, tapping, and other fitting operations.
- Check dimensions using vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision instruments.
- Identify and rectify tooling defects and dimensional problems.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and repair of dies and tooling.
- Make necessary adjustments to ensure accurate production output.
- Work with machining and production teams to resolve tooling-related issues.




- Maintain proper records of tooling maintenance and repairs.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- ITI/Diploma in Fitter, Tool & Die Making, or a related trade.
- Experience in die fitting, tool room, press tools, or mold fitting is preferred.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
- Good understanding of machining and fitting processes.
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
- Ability to troubleshoot tooling problems.

Experience: Typically 1–5 years, depending on the position. Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
