We are seeking a highly experienced Infrastructure and Platform Architect (L2) to join our engineering team on a contract basis. This is a high-priority engagement requiring deep expertise in enterprise DevOps tooling, CI/CD architecture, and cloud infrastructure management.
In this role, you will serve as the primary administrator and architect for critical developer platforms including JFrog Artifactory, GitLab, and GitHub , while driving automation, security compliance, and cloud integration across a global engineering organization.
- Platform Administration: Act as the primary administrator for enterprise-grade tooling — JFrog Artifactory, GitLab, and GitHub — ensuring high availability and governance at scale.
- CI/CD Architecture: Design, build, and optimize complex CI/CD pipelines and shared libraries to standardize deployment workflows across microservices.
- Artifact Lifecycle Management: Manage JFrog Artifactory repositories including permission models, cleanup policies, and integration with build tools (Maven, NPM, Docker).
- Version Control Governance: Oversee GitLab/GitHub organization settings, managing access controls, security hooks, and branching strategy enforcement.
- Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Drive automation of tooling infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible to ensure a self-healing DevOps ecosystem.
- Automation & Scripting: Use Python, Go, or Bash to automate repetitive administrative tasks such as user onboarding and bulk repository migrations.
- Security & Compliance:
Implement SAST/DAST scanning within pipelines and manage JFrog Xray for vulnerability and license compliance.
- Cloud Integration: Orchestrate integration between on-premise tooling and cloud environments (AWS/GCP), with a focus on EKS/GKE deployment targets.
- Tier-3 Support: Provide escalated support for developer tooling incidents, ensuring minimal downtime for global engineering teams.
Experience Requirements:
- 12+ years of overall experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps roles.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience administering JFrog Artifactory (Pro/Enterprise) and GitLab/GitHub at scale.
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in AWS DevOps operations (mandatory).
Technical Skills:
- Proven expertise in configuring and managing CI/CD tools: GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions ; proficiency in YAML and Groovy configuration.
- Hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP using Terraform for resource provisioning.
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes/OpenShift and CI/CD integration with container registries.
- Experience with security tooling such as JFrog Xray or SonarQube integrated into developer workflows.
- Strong scripting and coding ability in Python, Go, or Bash for custom tooling and API integrations.
- Experience with Ansible for configuration management and infrastructure automation.
- Familiarity with Maven, NPM, and Docker build tool integrations.
