Design Engineer (Modeling) – SolidWorks Job Title: Design Engineer (Modeling) Department: CAD / Engineering Design Services Experience: Minimum 2 Years Employment Type: Full-time Job Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu Industry: Engineering / CAD Design Services We are looking for a skilled SolidWorks Design Engineer with hands-on experience in parametric 3D modeling. The candidate will be responsible for importing, reconstructing, and optimizing 3D models into fully parametric, native SolidWorks formats.

Key Responsibilities - Import STEP files into SolidWorks and reconstruct them as native parametric models.

- Create clean and structured feature trees following proper design intent.
- Ensure models are fully editable, feature-driven, and optimized for future modifications.
- Apply best practices in parametric modeling and feature sequencing.
- Create and deliver SolidWorks Part, Assembly, and Drawing files.
- Review models for accuracy and manufacturability before submission.
- Perform required quality checks before final submission.
- Provide regular updates on assigned work, progress, and project blockers.
- Report unclear reference data, tool issues, and delivery risks promptly.

Required Qualifications - Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.





- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in SolidWorks parametric modeling.
- CSWA or CSWP Certification – MANDATORY.
- Candidates must hold a valid CSWA / CSWP certification.
- Robust proficiency in SolidWorks and parametric modeling.
- Hands-on experience with STEP file imports and model reconstruction.
- Strong understanding of feature-based modeling and design intent.
- Ability to create clean, organized, and logical feature trees.
- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
