MDS Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced MDS Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical and clinical care to patients with oral, maxillofacial, and related dental conditions. The ideal candidate should have strong clinical and surgical skills, sound diagnostic judgment, and a patient-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and manage oral and maxillofacial diseases, injuries, and abnormalities.
- Perform minor and major oral surgical procedures as per clinical requirements.
- Carry out surgical extractions, impacted tooth removal, biopsies, pre-prosthetic surgery, and management of oral infections.
- Evaluate and manage facial trauma and maxillofacial injuries where appropriate.
- Manage patients requiring surgical treatment under local anesthesia and, where applicable, sedation/general anesthesia in coordination with the appropriate team.
- Assess radiographs, CBCT, CT, MRI, and other relevant diagnostic investigations.
- Develop appropriate treatment plans and explain procedures, risks, benefits, and alternatives to patients.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, operative notes, consent forms, and follow-up documentation.
- Monitor patients during the postoperative period and manage complications appropriately.
- Coordinate with prosthodontists,



orthodontists, periodontists, ENT specialists, oncologists, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals when multidisciplinary care is required.
- Maintain strict standards of infection control, sterilization, patient safety, and clinical ethics.
- Participate in emergency and on-call services when required.
- Keep up to date with current surgical techniques, clinical guidelines, and advances in oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Qualifications
- MDS (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery) from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the relevant State Dental Council/Dental Council of India as applicable.
- Additional surgical training or relevant certifications will be an advantage.

- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
