Couples & Relationship Therapist — Khar West, Mumbai /n /n Location: Khar West, Mumbai /n Employment Type: Full-time /n Work Schedule: 6 days/week | In-clinic /n Joining: Immediate / early joiners preferred /n /n [Please note: Only candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be contacted.] /n /n About the Role /n /n Mitsu is looking for an experienced Couples & Relationship Therapist to join our clinical team at our upcoming Khar West clinic. /n /n This will be a mixed clinical role involving both couples and individual therapy, with a significant focus on couples, relationships and interpersonal concerns. /n /n The role is suited to a therapist with meaningful experience working with concerns such as communication difficulties, recurring conflict, emotional disconnection, trust issues, intimacy concerns, attachment patterns and major relationship transitions. /n /n You will work within a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, psychiatrists and care coordinators, while contributing to Mitsu's broader goal of building more structured, continuous and outcome-focused mental healthcare. /n /n About Mitsu /n /n Mitsu is building a network of tech-enabled neighbourhood mental health clinics across Mumbai, making high-quality mental healthcare simpler to access and easier to continue. /n /n Our model combines in-person clinical care, multidisciplinary collaboration and thoughtful use of technology to support patients beyond individual appointments. /n /n Learn more: https://mitsu.care /n /n Key Responsibilities /n /n As a Couples & Relationship Therapist at Mitsu, you will: /n /n Conduct couples and individual therapy sessions, with a larger proportion of the caseload focused on couples, relationships and interpersonal concerns /n Assess relationship dynamics, patterns of interaction and individual factors affecting the relationship /n Develop explicit case formulations, therapeutic goals and structured treatment plans /n Help couples work through communication breakdowns, conflict, emotional disconnection, trust and intimacy concerns /n Support individuals and couples navigating life transitions such as marriage,
parenthood, fertility-related stress, separation or reconciliation /n Collaborate with psychiatrists and psychologists where either partner may require additional mental health support /n Participate in supervision, case discussions and clinical reviews /n Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and follow Mitsu's clinical protocols /n Contribute to psychoeducation, workshops and relationship-focused clinical programs /n /n Eligibility Criteria: /n /n /n
- Clinical Psychologist OR Counselling Psychologist with formal training in couples therapy

- 3-5 years of post-qualification experience (clinic experience preferred)

- Formal training in couples / relationship therapy is mandatory
/n /n /n Formal couples therapy training: /n Candidates should have formal training in one or more recognised couples or relational therapy approaches, such as: /n /n Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) /n Gottman Method /n Integrative / Systemic Couples Therapy /n Or equivalent evidence-based relational modalities /n /n (Please note: Candidates without formal couples therapy training will not be considered. Also, certifications of your training would be required during the interview process.) /n /n Skills & Attributes /n /n We are particularly interested in therapists who demonstrate: /n /n Strong understanding of relationship dynamics, attachment and interpersonal patterns /n Ability to work effectively with two therapeutic alliances simultaneously /n Strong case conceptualisation and treatment planning skills /n Ability to remain balanced and clinically neutral during high-conflict sessions /n Experience working with recurring conflict, communication problems,
