Role Purpose

We are looking for a hands-on Cobot Trainer & Basic Programmer who can help our production team use collaborative robots (Cobots) effectively for welding, grinding, finishing and other repetitive manufacturing activities.

The person does not need to be an advanced robotics engineer. We are looking for someone who understands industrial robots/Cobots, can do basic programming and teach shop-floor operators how to operate and program them safely.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate Cobots for MIG/MAG welding and related fabrication work.
- Carry out basic Cobot programming, including:
- Teaching points and paths
- Setting speed and movement
- Welding path programming
- Start/stop and I/O commands
- Saving and modifying programs
- Train welders, supervisors and operators to independently operate the Cobot.
- Develop simple training programs so that operators can learn basic Cobot programming.
- Help establish Cobot applications for:
- Welding
- Grinding
- Deburring
- Surface finishing/polishing
- Material handling where required
- Improve welding consistency, cycle time and productivity through Cobot programming.
- Develop and improve welding fixtures/jigs together with the production and engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot basic Cobot, welding torch, sensor and programming issues.
- Establish standard programs for repetitive products.
- Maintain backup of Cobot programs and basic documentation.
- Ensure proper safety procedures while operating Cobots.




- Identify additional factory operations that can be automated using existing Cobots.

Desired Skills

- Practical experience with Cobots or industrial robots.
- Basic robot programming knowledge.
- Understanding of MIG/MAG welding and fabrication.
- Ability to teach operators with limited robotics/programming knowledge.
- Understanding of welding fixtures and jigs.
- Basic knowledge of grinding, deburring and finishing processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment on the shop floor.
- Knowledge of brands such as Universal Robots, FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa, Techman, JAKA or similar will be useful.

Qualification

ITI / Diploma / BE/BTech in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Automation or Robotics.

Practical Cobot/robot experience will be given more importance than academic qualification.

Experience

2–5 years preferred, although candidates with strong practical Cobot programming and training skills with less experience may also be considered.

- Make our operators comfortable using Cobots.
- Train selected operators in basic programming.
- Establish repeatable Cobot welding programs.
- Reduce dependence on external robot programmers.
- Improve welding productivity and consistency.
- Start trials for grinding, deburring and finishing using Cobots.
- Identify additional processes that can be automated in our factory.

Most significant requirement: We need a hands-on person who can program, demonstrate, troubleshoot and teach on the shop floor, rather than someone with only theoretical robotics knowledge.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹1,303,294.29 per month
