Role & responsibilities

- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of production machines and utility equipment.

- Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical faults and carry out repairs.

- Maintain CNC/VMC machines, laser cutting machines, press brakes, compressors, DG sets, pumps, and other plant equipment as applicable.

- Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring of machines.

- Assist in machine installation, commissioning, and relocation activities.

- Replace defective machine parts, bearings, belts, motors, sensors, valves, and other components.

- Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and equipment history cards.

- Ensure availability of critical spare parts and communicate stock requirements.

- Support TPM, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Coordinate with production teams to minimize machine downtime.

- Follow safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and 5S practices.

- Attend emergency breakdowns and restore equipment within targeted timelines.

- Report recurring issues and recommend corrective actions.
