We are looking for an experienced Chemist to join our food processing unit in Madhyamgram. The candidate should have practical experience in food/FMCG laboratory testing, quality control, raw material testing, in-process testing and finished product analysis.
The ideal candidate should have knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, laboratory procedures and analytical testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Test and analyse raw materials, in-process samples and finished food products.
- Conduct routine chemical and quality tests as per company standards.
- Check products for quality, safety and consistency.
- Maintain laboratory records, test reports and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable food safety and quality standards.
- Follow HACCP, GMP and laboratory safety procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment as required.
- Identify quality deviations and report them to the concerned department.
- Maintain proper sample collection, storage and testing records.
- Coordinate with the Production and Quality/QA team regarding quality issues.
- Assist in maintaining laboratory chemicals, reagents and testing materials.
Qualification
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Food Technology, Microbiology or relevant qualification.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in Food Processing/FMCG laboratory preferred.
- Practical laboratory experience is strongly preferred.
