About the Role

As the Centre Head, you will take ownership of the overall functioning and performance of the Lighthouse Centre.

You'll be responsible for

Program Delivery | Learner Outcomes | Team Leadership | Placements | Centre Operations | Data & Reporting | Stakeholder Engagement

You will lead a team of approximately 4–7 members, build strong relationships with local stakeholders and employers, and ensure that learners receive a high-quality experience throughout their Lighthouse journey.

This is a role where leadership meets community impact.

You won't just manage a centre.

You'll create the conditions for a team to succeed and for young people to access better opportunities.

What You'll Do

1. Lead Program Implementation

Own the end-to-end execution of the Lighthouse Program at the assigned centre.

You will:

- Lead the implementation of all program activities at the centre.
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of the Lighthouse Program.
- Monitor program implementation against agreed goals and targets.
- Track learner participation, completion, skilling, placement, and livelihood outcomes.
- Identify gaps in implementation and work with the team to address them.
- Drive continuous improvement in program quality and outcomes.
- Ensure that the learner experience remains positive, safe, inclusive, and youth-centric.
- Coordinate with relevant internal teams to ensure smooth program execution.

Your focus will be not just on whether activities happened, but on whether they created the intended outcomes. 2. Drive Placement & Career Support

Skilling is meaningful when it creates pathways to opportunity.

You will:

- Facilitate employment opportunities and placement support for students.
- Coordinate interview schedules and ensure students are prepared for recruitment processes.
- Organise mock interviews and career-readiness activities.
- Facilitate employer interactions and career guidance sessions.
- Build relationships with local employers.
- Identify new employment opportunities relevant to Lighthouse learners.
- Strengthen employer engagement at the centre.
- Work closely with the Placement Manager to improve placement outcomes.
- Monitor student participation in placement activities.
- Identify barriers affecting placement and work with the team to address them.

You'll help create the bridge between: Learning → Readiness → Interviews → Employment

3. Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team

Your team is one of your most important responsibilities.

You will lead, mentor, and motivate a team of 4–7 members.

This includes:

- Conducting regular team meetings.
- Supporting monthly planning.




- Setting priorities and allocating tasks.
- Tracking team productivity and performance.
- Conducting regular performance conversations and reviews.
- Providing coaching and constructive feedback.
- Identifying individual and team capability-building needs.
- Supporting team members in solving challenges.
- Encouraging collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
- Developing team members into stronger professionals and future leaders.
- Building a culture of accountability, learning, inclusion, and ownership.

4. Own Centre Operations

Ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the centre.

You will:

- Oversee daily centre operations.
- Ensure administrative activities are completed effectively.
- Monitor centre infrastructure and assets.
- Ensure the centre is operationally ready for learners and stakeholders.
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and learner-friendly environment.
- Ensure appropriate use and upkeep of centre resources.
- Coordinate with relevant teams on operational requirements.
- Address centre-level issues proactively.

The centre should be a place where learners feel: Safe. Welcome. Respected. Motivated.

5. Lead Data Management & Reporting

Strong outcomes require strong visibility into performance.

You will:

- Ensure accurate maintenance of student records.
- Ensure program data is updated regularly.
- Monitor centre-level performance metrics.
- Track learner participation and progress.
- Review key program and outcome indicators.
- Identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement.
- Submit timely reports.
- Ensure effective use of Lighthouse technology platforms and MIS systems.
- Support the team in maintaining accurate and reliable data.

We want leaders who don't look at data only because a report is due. We want leaders who use data to make better decisions.

Build Strong Community & Stakeholder Partnerships A Lighthouse Centre does not operate in isolation.

You'll build and nurture relationships with:

- Community leaders.
- Government departments.
- NGOs.
- Corporates.
- Employers.
- Skilling partners.
- Training partners.
- Volunteers.
- Local institutions.
- Other relevant community stakeholders.

You will also:
- Represent Lighthouse at community meetings.
- Participate in stakeholder engagements.
- Support government reviews and interactions.
- Represent the organisation at local events.
- Strengthen community participation.
- Build partnerships that improve youth reach, engagement, skilling, and employment opportunities.

Who We're Looking For

Education

- Master's degree preferred.
- MSW is preferred.
- Postgraduate degree in any discipline may also be considered.

Experience

- 4–8 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Program implementation
- Skilling
- Livelihoods
- Education
- Youth development
- Community development
- Social-sector programs

Experience managing training centres or community-based programs will be preferred. You should also have demonstrated experience in:

- Leading teams.
- Managing team performance.
- Developing people.
- Coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Managing programs or operations.
