Category Manager – Foundation

About the Role

Rays is looking for an experienced and results-driven Category Manager – Foundation to lead the academic vision, product strategy, execution quality, and business performance of our Foundation programs for Classes 8–10.

The role will be responsible for building a rigorous and engaging learning journey that strengthens school performance while preparing students for Olympiads and future competitive examinations.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop the vision, strategy, and annual operating plan for the Foundation category.
- Lead curriculum design across Mathematics, Science, and Mental Ability.
- Ensure curriculum and content are aligned with school boards and competitive-exam pathways.
- Establish standards for lesson plans, study materials, assessments, question banks, practice sheets, and revision programs.
- Define academic benchmarks and drive improvement in student learning outcomes.
- Build, mentor, and retain a strong team of academic leads and faculty.
- Establish faculty selection, onboarding, training, classroom observation, and development systems.
- Ensure consistent academic delivery across centres and online/hybrid formats.
- Track attendance, engagement, syllabus completion, assessment performance, faculty effectiveness, retention, and student/parent feedback.
- Work closely with Marketing, Admissions, Operations, Technology, Finance, Content, and HR teams.
- Partner with business teams on enrolment,



parent engagement, seminars, scholarship tests, and category growth.
- Identify opportunities for innovation while maintaining academic quality, integrity, and student safety.
- Use data and insights to identify gaps, implement interventions, and improve overall program performance.

What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in academic leadership, curriculum management, education, or category management
- Experience managing academic teams and faculty
- Robust understanding of school education, preferably Classes 8–10
- Ability to design and implement academic programs and processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with cross-functional t

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate

- Calicut, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
