Spice County Organics is a Canada-based company specializing in the sourcing and supply of high-quality spices, with a focus on premium Indian spices including cardamom.

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Cardamom Procurement Coordinator to support our sourcing operations in Idukki, Kerala. The successful candidate will work closely with local cardamom growers, farmers, traders, processors, and suppliers to identify and procure quality cardamom for our international supply operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop relationships with local cardamom farmers, growers, traders, dealers, and suppliers.
- Coordinate the procurement of green cardamom from reliable local sources.
- Visit farms, collection centers, markets, and supplier locations as required.
- Monitor cardamom availability, quality, pricing, and seasonal supply conditions.
- Assist in evaluating cardamom based on size, color, appearance, moisture, aroma, cleanliness, and overall quality.
- Collect and communicate supplier quotations and market pricing information.
- Negotiate pricing and procurement terms under company guidelines.
- Coordinate sample collection and submission for quality evaluation.
- Maintain accurate records of suppliers, purchases, samples, pricing, and procurement activities.
- Track purchase quantities, supplier commitments, and delivery schedules.




- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure material is available according to required specifications and timelines.
- Provide regular updates to the management team in Canada regarding local market conditions, pricing, availability, and supplier performance.
- Identify new suppliers and potential long-term sourcing relationships.
- Support development of a reliable network of cardamom growers and suppliers in Idukki.
- Travel locally using a personal two-wheeler for supplier visits and procurement activities.

Candidate RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Candidates with a degree in Agriculture, Commerce, Business Administration, Food Science, Supply Chain, or a related field will be preferred.

Experience
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Previous experience in spice procurement, agriculture, cardamom trading, purchasing, sales, or supplier management will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of the cardamom market in Idukki is highly desirable.

Required Skills
- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with farmers and suppliers.
- Basic negotiation and purchasing skills.
- Good organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and email.
- Ability to work independently and manage local travel.




- Willingness to spend time in the field visiting farms and suppliers.
- Good understanding of Malayalam.
- Basic English communication skills required for communication with the Canada-based management team.

Other Requirement A reliable personal two-wheeler and valid driving licence are required, as the position involves regular travel within Idukki.

Compensation

Starting Salary: ₹10,000 per month The company will provide annual salary increments based on performance, reliability, and contribution to the business.
