Job Summary

Industrial Marketing, a wholesaler of lubricant oil, engine oil and grease since 2019, is seeking an energetic and target-oriented Business Development Officer to expand its customer network and increase sales across assigned markets.

The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying new customers, developing dealer and institutional relationships, generating sales enquiries, conducting market visits and achieving monthly sales and collection targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop new customers in assigned territories.
- Generate business from workshops, spare-parts dealers, lubricant retailers, fleet operators, transport companies, industries and other institutional buyers.
- Conduct regular field visits and product presentations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Appoint and develop new dealers, distributors and channel partners.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms and convert enquiries into orders.
- Achieve monthly sales, new-customer acquisition and collection targets.
- Follow up on orders, deliveries, payments and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with the sales, accounts and logistics teams for timely order fulfilment.
- Monitor competitor products, pricing, schemes and market activities.
- Identify new market opportunities and provide regular feedback to management.
- Maintain daily visit reports, lead details, sales pipelines and customer follow-up records.
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments from assigned customers.





Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in field sales or business development.
- Experience in lubricants, automotive products, spare parts, tyres, batteries, industrial products or FMCG distribution will be preferred.
- Robust communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to independently manage an assigned territory and achieve targets.
- Good understanding of the local market in Ernakulam and nearby districts.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, WhatsApp and digital reporting.
- Must possess a valid driving licence and own a two-wheeler.
- Willingness to travel extensively for customer and market visits.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce or a related discipline.
- Candidates with relevant industry experience may also apply.
