Job Summary

Industrial Marketing, a wholesaler of lubricants, engine oil and grease since 2019, is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Business Development Manager to lead business expansion, develop new markets and strengthen the company’s dealer, retail and institutional customer network.

The selected candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing the sales pipeline, developing key accounts, expanding territories and ensuring the achievement of sales and collection targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement business development and territory-expansion plans.
- Identify and acquire new dealers, retailers, workshops, fleet operators, transport companies and industrial customers.
- Develop new markets across Ernakulam and neighbouring districts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and channel partners.
- Generate qualified leads and convert business enquiries into profitable sales.
- Conduct regular market visits, customer meetings and product presentations.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate prices and commercial terms, and close orders.
- Set and achieve monthly sales, gross-margin, customer-acquisition and collection targets.
- Monitor product-wise, territory-wise and customer-wise sales performance.
- Manage major accounts and identify opportunities for repeat sales and cross-selling.
- Ensure timely follow-up of orders, deliveries, customer complaints and outstanding payments.
- Coordinate with purchase, inventory, accounts and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
- Analyse competitor products, pricing, schemes and market activities.
- Maintain accurate lead, customer, visit, order and sales pipeline reports.
- Prepare weekly and monthly business-development performance reports for management.




- Guide and monitor Business Development Officers or sales executives, when assigned.
- Ensure that sales growth is achieved while maintaining healthy margins and credit control.

Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business development, field sales or channel sales.
- Experience in lubricants, automotive products, spare parts, tyres, batteries or industrial-product distribution is preferred.
- Proven ability to develop current markets and achieve sales targets.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and customer-management skills.
- Good knowledge of the Ernakulam and Central Kerala markets.
- Ability to manage dealer, retail, institutional and B2B customer relationships.
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel, sales reporting and digital communication tools.
- Must possess a valid driving licence and own a two-wheeler or vehicle.
- Willingness to travel regularly across assigned territories.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce or a related discipline.
- MBA in Marketing will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with strong relevant industry experience may also apply.
