About The Role

As a key member of the Core Engineering team at Whatfix, you will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing our future-forward products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of technological innovation, contributing to building scalable, robust, and high-performance systems that serve our global customer base. Your expertise will directly impact how organizations adopt and leverage enterprise applications through intelligent automation and seamless user experiences.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineering groups, to translate complex requirements into effective technical solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining core components of our platform, ensuring they meet high standards of performance, scalability, and reliability. Your innovative mindset will help us continuously improve our systems, implement best practices, and stay ahead of industry trends.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field,



with a minimum of 9+ years of experience as a backend-heavy full-stack developer. You should have a deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems, along with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating effectively across teams and stakeholders.

You should be self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Design and develop core platform components, ensuring high performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Develop technical roadmaps, recommend appropriate technologies, and provide guidance on implementation strategies.
- Mentor and coach team members to foster technical growth and leadership skills.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting activities to maintain high-quality standards.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 9+ years of experience as a backend-focused full-stack developer.
- Solid expertise in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems architecture.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment with multiple responsibilities.

Must-Have Skills
- Proficiency in Core Java, RESTful APIs, and Spring Framework.
- Experience with Unit Testing, Automation, and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL storage systems such as Cassandra, HBase, or MongoDB.
- Ability to analyze functional and non-functional requirements, estimate efforts, and develop deployment strategies.
Experience in architecting and developing applications from scratch and debugging complex issues.
