We're looking for an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to join our product and cloud deployment engineering team. You'll design, build and support secure, automated deployment pipelines for enterprise SaaS products and customer cloud deployments — spanning everything from day-to-day CI/CD through to production and disaster recovery readiness.

This is a hands-on role for someone who's as comfortable writing Terraform and YAML pipelines as they are troubleshooting a failed release or running a DR failover test.

What You'll Do

- Build and run CI/CD pipelines — design, maintain and continuously improve Azure DevOps pipelines (Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts) covering build, test, release and deployment across Dev, SIT, UAT, Pre-Prod, Production and DR environments.
- Automate infrastructure — provision and manage Azure resources as code using Terraform, Bicep and ARM templates, keeping infrastructure, configuration and deployment artefacts version-controlled, repeatable and auditable.
- Deploy and support enterprise Azure workloads — including AKS, networking, identity, security, monitoring and containerised services (Docker, ACR, Kubernetes, Helm) for SaaS products running in customer-owned Azure subscriptions and M365 tenants.
- Own DevOps governance — manage source control, branching strategy, pull requests, environment approvals, release gates, variable groups, service connections and secrets management, with rollback plans built in as standard.
- Champion disaster recovery readiness — maintain production-to-DR parity, support backup/restore/failover exercises, capture recovery evidence, and help ensure releases and recovery procedures meet agreed SLA, RPO and RTO targets.
- Partner across the business — work closely with cloud architects, product engineers, application teams and customer stakeholders to turn architecture and resilience requirements into automated, reliable deployment workflows.
- Keep things running smoothly — monitor pipeline health,



environmental drift and DR readiness; troubleshoot deployment and infrastructure issues; support incident investigation and root-cause analysis; and maintain clear runbooks and operational documentation throughout.

What We're Looking For

- 3–6 years' hands-on experience in Azure DevOps, cloud deployment automation or infrastructure engineering.
- Strong, practical experience with Azure DevOps and YAML-based CI/CD pipeline design.
- Solid infrastructure-as-code skills across Terraform, Bicep and ARM templates.
- Broad working knowledge of core Azure services — compute, containers, data, storage, networking, security, identity and monitoring.
- Confident with Git-based source control, branching strategies and code review processes.
- Practical understanding of multi-setting deployment (Dev through to Production/DR) and of high availability, backup, failover and recovery concepts, including working to agreed RPO/RTO targets.
- Comfortable scripting with PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bash or similar.
- Strong troubleshooting instincts and clear communication — you'll be working directly with architects, developers, security teams and customers.
- A collaborative, adaptable approach to working across multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to Have

- Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g. Administrator Associate, DevOps Engineer Expert, Solutions Architect Expert).
- Deeper AKS experience — node pools, ingress, Helm charts, private endpoints.
- Terraform module design, remote state and state locking at scale.
- Exposure to AWS or GCP, and their native deployment tooling (CloudFormation/CDK, Cloud Build/Deploy, etc.).
- Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Argo CD or similar.
- Familiarity with security scanning (container, dependency, IaC) and audit/compliance-driven change management.
- Experience with DR patterns such as warm standby or active-active, and running structured DR drills.
- Exposure to Microsoft 365, Microsoft Graph or SharePoint Online integrations.
- An eye for cloud cost optimisation and ISO 27001-aligned security practices.
