The organization works closely with leading automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers to build next-generation vehicle software and embedded technologies.
We are looking for an experienced Android Audio Engineer to develop, customize, and integrate the Android Automotive OS (AAOS) Audio Framework for in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and customize Android Audio Framework for AAOS-based infotainment systems
- Work on Audio HAL, Audio Policy Manager, Audio Control HAL, AudioFlinger and AudioPolicyService
- Develop features around CarAudioService, audio routing, audio focus, volume groups and multi-zone audio
- Work on Media Playback, Bluetooth Audio (A2DP/HFP),
USB Audio, FM/AM Radio, Navigation Prompts and Voice Assistant
- Implement audio mixing and audio ducking capabilities
- Develop and customize Audio HAL interfaces using AIDL/HIDL
- Integrate DSPs and external amplifiers with the Android Audio Framework
- Configure and optimize ALSA/TinyALSA drivers
- Analyze audio latency, synchronization, glitches and audio quality issues
- Debug using Logcat, dumpsys, TinyALSA utilities, Systrace, Perfetto and kernel logs
- Collaborate with BSP, Middleware, HMI, Bluetooth, Vehicle HAL and System teams
- Perform root-cause analysis and support production/customer deliveries
Valuable to have: Experience with Qualcomm, MediaTek or NXP automotive platforms.
