Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Buyer Coordination
- Communicate with international buyers, buying houses, and agents regarding orders, product requirements, prices, approvals, and delivery schedules.
- Understand buyer specifications, quality standards, packaging requirements, and compliance needs.
- Handle buyer queries and ensure timely responses.
- Product Development
- Coordinate development of home textile products such as Bags, Pouches , curtains, towels, kitchen linen, table linen, cushions, and other made-ups.
- Follow up on design, fabric, construction, GSM, size, color, finish, and packing requirements.
- Coordinate sample development and obtain buyer approvals.
- Costing & Pricing
- Prepare product costing based on fabric consumption, trims, accessories, processing, embroidery/printing, packing, freight, and other costs.
- Work with sourcing and production teams to achieve target prices and margins.
- Support price negotiation with buyers.
- Order Management
- Handle orders from order confirmation to shipment.
- Review purchase orders carefully for quantity, size, color, fabric, construction, packing, delivery date, and special instructions.
- Ensure all order details are correctly communicated to relevant departments.
- T&A; / Critical Path Management
- Prepare and maintain the Time & Action (T&A;) calendar for each order.
- Track fabric booking, lab dips, strike-offs, samples, approvals, cutting, production, inspection, packing, and shipment.
- Identify potential delays and take corrective action.
- Fabric & Trims Follow-up
- Coordinate with sourcing, mills, dyeing/processing units,



and suppliers for timely availability of fabrics and trims.
- Follow up on fabric quality, GSM, width, shrinkage, color, hand feel, testing, and finishing.
- Ensure accessories and packing materials are available before production.
- Production Follow-up
- Coordinate with PPC, production, cutting, sewing, finishing, embroidery/printing, and packing departments.
- Monitor production against the planned schedule.
- Highlight bottlenecks and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Quality Coordination
- Work closely with QA/QC teams to ensure products meet buyer specifications.
- Follow up on inline, mid-line, final, and pre-shipment inspections.
- Resolve quality issues related to measurements, shade variation, workmanship, shrinkage, stains, stitching, finishing, etc.
- Shipment Management
- Coordinate with commercial, logistics, warehouse, and production teams for on-time shipment.
- Monitor ex-factory dates and shipping deadlines.
- Ensure packing, carton marking, shipping marks, documentation, and quantity requirements are completed correctly.
- Team Management
- Guide and monitor Merchandisers/Junior Merchandisers.
- Allocate orders and responsibilities within the team.




- Review order status and ensure timely completion of activities.
- MIS & Reporting
- Prepare daily/weekly order status reports, T&A; reports, production status, shipment plans, and buyer-wise order reports.
- Escalate critical delays and risks to senior management.
- Maintain proper order-related documentation and records.
- Cross-functional Coordination
- Act as the key link between Buyer ↔ Merchandising ↔ Sourcing ↔ PPC ↔ Production ↔ QA ↔ Commercial ↔ Logistics.
- Ensure smooth flow of information and timely decision-making.

Home Textile–Specific Responsibilities Particular attention should be given to:
- Fabric construction and GSM
- Yarn count and composition
- Fabric width and consumption
- Dyeing and finishing
- Color matching and lab-dip approvals
- Shrinkage and dimensional stability
- Embroidery/printing/embellishment
- Washing and special finishes
- Home textile measurements and tolerances
- Folding and packing methods
- Carton assortment and ratio
- Buyer-specific testing requirements
- Social/compliance requirements
- Container planning and shipment deadlines

- On-time order execution
- On-time sample approval
- On-time shipment
- Order profitability/margin
- Sample approval efficiency

- Quality/inspection performance

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
